Will a standard 36" farm sink base work or does it require a custom made 39" base?
The minimum recommended farmhouse base cabinet is 39" or made custom to the sink. Due to the firing process of these sinks, the dimensions provided are nominal. The manufacturer recommends you use the sink as a template.

This sink can accommodate a standard 3.5" drain.

What are the the inside dimensions of the larger sink at the very bottom of sink? I noticed in the picture that the sides slant in toward the bottom
The inside dimensions of the large side at the very bottom of the sink are 14.5” x 18.5”. The small side's dimensions are 14.5” x 12.25”

The sink is beautiful! Customer Service has been great. I originally did not order the grids and noticed just after two days of using the sink that it had scratches. I decided to order the grids as this size is hard to find anything to fit, so I sucked it up to pay an additional $200 for the sink grids. The grids overall fit perfectly except the sink holes do not align perfectly. You can still access the sink holes but they are offset a bit on each side. They sink another set, which was exactly the same. Overall I am happy and love my new sink, however, for the cost of the grids and they are supposed to be custom to the sink ... you would think it would be manufactured right.
We're building a house and haven't been able to install just yet. However, we inspected every inch and it's perfect! Can't wait to see it in our kitchen.
