Most compact vanities fit 16–20" wide sinks with 12–16" front-to-back depth. Consider wall-mount or corner models to save space. Always confirm cutout and bowl size in the spec sheet.

Vessel sinks make a design statement and are easy retrofits, but add rim height. Undermount sinks give a seamless, easy-clean rim (best with stone/solid-surface tops).

Sinks with overflow use a pop-up drain with overflow. Sinks without overflow require a grid/free-flow drain to prevent overfilling.

Match the sink/countertop: single-hole, centerset 4", or widespread 8". Vessels typically pair with single-hole tall or wall-mount faucets; undermounts/drop-ins follow the countertop drilling.

Many can be—choose ADA-compliant models and mount to the manufacturer’s height/clearance specs and local code requirements.

Vitreous china is low-maintenance. Solid surface is repairable. Stone/concrete needs periodic sealing. Glass needs regular wiping to avoid spotting.
