If my countertop opening for a sink is 29.5" wide x 15.75" deep, could this be installed as an under mount? I don't want to change my counters, but I am interested in replacing my sink for this. All that remains is to ensure that it will function properly. I have a two sided under sink cabinet. The total on the inside of the cabinet is 36” wide. The openings for each cabinet facing are 15”. My question is more around my current countertop cutout and whether or not this sink will work as an under mount. Here is what I need clarity on: I want to know if my countertop opening for a sink is 29.5” wide x 15.75” depth if this could be installed as an under mount. I don’t want to adjust my counters but am interested in changing my sink out for this. Just need to make sure it’ll work. The height at 9.5” is no problem for underneath.
It is a risky proposition for a homeowner to try to line up an existing sink hole with a sink from another manufacturer, but I believe this could work for your kitchen renovation. The risk is that the ledge for the accessories will not line up properly, making it difficult to slide the cutting board in and out. You stated that you have 15.75 inches, so it should work in theory, but this is a handcrafted sink and there may be variations.
